August 26, 1831...John Speir of Pike Co. in consideration and affection which I bear to John Stringer and Wilson Stringer sons of my present wife Isabella Speir late, late Isabella Stringer and Elizabeth Stringer daughter of my said wife and sister of said John and Wilson Stringer...have given and granted to the said John, Wilson & Elizabeth Stringer all that tract of land in the county of Montgomery and state containing 240...the southwest quarter of the west half of the northeast quarter of section 33, township 12, Range 20 (and other property in this area)...also negro slaves Philip, Beckey, Frank, Nelson, Lucy, Siva?, Harriett, Lydia, two Sorrel horses, cow, stock, furniture...all subject to the will of their father James Stringer deceased.
